ISC-Audubon is a non-profit coalition of sustainability advocacy organizations and initiatives that include The International Sustainability Council (ISC), Audubon Lifestyles, Audubon Outdoors, Planit Green, Broadcast Audubon, and the Audubon Network for Sustainability.
Through membership, support and involvement, ISC-Audubon is able to continue expanding our efforts to promote sustainability. We would not be able to continue to grow without membership support and involvement from the extraordinary group of individuals, businesses, non-profit organizations, universities and municipalities who have decided that it was imperative to promote and support the tenets of sustainability.
ISC-Audubon is committed to science based, economically viable, environmentally healthy and socially beneficial actions that will improve the quality of life for everyone, while ensuring that future generations have the ability to meet their own needs. We operate with the main purpose of benefiting society, while offering professional and sustainably based programs, certifications, products and services.
The ISC-Audubon mission is to foster sustainable living and lifestyles at home, work and play. We accomplish this through a number of award winning education and certification programs.
Our vision is to help create a more sustainable world. We assist people and their businesses discover and implement sustainability solutions that are reliable, practical, efficient and that reduce risk.
Our Cause: Spreading the Seeds of Sustainability!
Funds generated through memberships and donations are used to provide fruit & vegetable seeds, wildflower seed mix, and wildlife feed & birdseed to urban and suburban communities around the world. These seeds are used by communities to establish fruit and vegetable gardens, bird and wildlife sanctuaries, and for the beautification of urban and suburban landscapes by creating flower and native plant gardens.
What is an Audubon Lifestyle? While that is really up to each one of us, an Audubon Lifestyle is ultimately based on making informed decisions in each of our lives that makes good environmental sense, good economic sense, and good sense for society at large. Every day each of us make hundreds of decisions concerning the products that we buy and use, what we eat, what kind of automobile we are going to use, and on and on.
My name is Eric Dodson, and I serve as Executive Director for ISC-Audubon. Over the past many years I have worked as a consultant, a sustainability advisor, and even as a computer technician.
